BODY IN SPACE

This collection was an exploration of the queer body in space, playing with elements of light, shape and layering. This collection was influenced by 70s minimalism & the light and space movement. Like this art and design movement this collection is about experiencing something pure in space that one has to out on their body and take up space in to give the clothes form. It is an expression of an art movement that is striped down to its core essentials: light, color, space, and form. I wanted to take these concepts in conjunction with the experience of the queer body and create a type of wearable art.
